i’ve never been so sore in my life after sailboat racing on saturday. i was a “grinder”, working the winch for the two races that day and cranking in the jib (front sail) on every turn and working the spinnaker on downwind stretches. my knees are bruised, a couple veins popped in my left middle finger when it got stepped on and my left arm got rubbed raw from something. by the end of the day, i could grind no more. but i loved every single minute of it. =)
afterward, we motored over by sbc park to catch the KFOG Kaboom fireworks show. what an unbelivable site from so close the barge that launched them all. probably the best fireworks show i’ve ever seen.
