Half Moon Bay Race
Saturday was a realllly long day. after a good 4 hours of sleep due to ryan’s 24th bday festivities, i rolled out of bed and drove my ass up to san francisco for an entire day of sailing.
light winds kept us slowly drifting further and further behind the rest of the fleet until it was rather hopeless and it came down to baking pizzas and drinking beer all the way down to half moon bay. the funny thing was, it was only after baking the pizzas that we figured out how to correctly trim the sails. that sped us up a good 2knots. note to self: ease the outhaul on light winded days.
my first sail outside the bay and my first time going under the golden gate at night.
