public school battle
so tonight is the pac-10 men’s basketball final with ucla facing off with their norcal brethren, cal berkeley in a norcal-socal public school battle. i’m predicting that cal will be punished - much like the 67-58 game from 2 weeks ago. go bruins! in women’s news, ucla took the pac-10 hoops title already! i caught the final 10 minutes of that game which was actually a lot more exciting than the other women’s hoops games that i’ve seen. the team has definitely come a long way since i watched them play at the pac-10 tournament in 2003. this year, they came back late in the 2nd half to tie stanford in the final seconds and then in overtime, defeated those palo alto kids. go bruins.. again!
i miss camping out for good seats, painted faces, the cheering, the heckling, the high-fives, rushing the court and above all, sitting under the hoop taking photos.
