an awesome labor day weekend
wow. so you think, since you have very little plans over the weekend that it’s going to be chill… you’re going to get to relax, sit on the couch, play some video games, practice guitar, watch a lot of tv and think about random things like why ‘how i met your mother’ is the awesomest show on tv and how to live life like barney without being an incredible slut. you know… a chill weekend. but alas… life does not work that way and the party started.. last thursday.
thursday: matt costa concert
osha thai dinner #1. christina and i met up at osha after work for some grub before the matt costa concert. it was pretty random how i heard him the day before on the radio and made a mental note to look him up only to find that christina was already going to the concert. so i jumped on the bandwagon, bought a ticket and went to slim’s with her, alex and some other folks. it was a good show… and just too bad that the week had worn me out and i was dead tired. no amount of redbullness could keep my lids open with his chill guitar-ness.
friday: LowFat concert
osha thai dinner #2. i didn’t finish my red curry the night before so that sweet curry was for dinner. alex convinced me to go to this lowfat concert at pier 23 with some of this coworkers. and wow.. the band rocked. there were actually 3 very unexpected events from friday night. 1: LowFat rocks and you have to check them out. 2: 2 beers was all i needed to get me going. and 3: chatting with christine on 3am east-coast time. that party girl is on a different level.
saturday: legen…. wait for it…. DARY
osha thai dinner #3. it was girish’s 27th sexy and dangerous birthday and we met up at osha for dinner which was followed by clubbing at the factory. it seemed as though everyone made it out saturday night but i kept my head on straight and didn’t destory my credit card like alex. hahaha. two espressos at steps of rome later kept me awake enough to watch finding nemo and my sassy girl. fyi: lisa is a bad person to watch chick flicks with… just ask stephanie. new rule.. no more drinking after 4am… alex! the fact that girish said he doesn’t remember some of the night warms my heart. haha. good work people!

sunday: rock climbing
alex and i headed over to mission cliffs to meet up with jen and megan for a good afternoon of climbing which i followed up with some intense half-life 2 action. i felt like such a geezer and went to sleep at 1030pm to make up for the 4 hours i got the night before.
monday: hole-in-the-wall beach bbq
chef miranda and stacey put on an awesome bbq at hole-in-the-wall beach near santa cruz. salmon.. steak.. ribs.. sausages.. sangria… beer. my favorite parts of the day: seeing old friends, chucking wood off a 50′ cliff, eating, playing with fire and running across the beach in the middle of the night to avoid the tide that was blocking our way back throught the hole

What a busy life you lead! Sounds like fun, but I do think I have to disagree on the subject of the best tv show. I CANNOT wait to get my hands on the Grey’s Anatomy season 2 dvd… and then start season 3 in two weeks… Project Runway is addicting too. You’ll like it, I promise. Try it!
