Joshua Bell playing in a metro station?
I don’t usually post links to articles - mostly because the ones I read aren’t all that interesting. But this one, about classical violin virtuoso Joshua Bell playing in a metro station in DC, is interesting enough that I think everyone should read. It was a sort of social experiment to see what would happen and if anyone would notice that a pan-handling metro musician was actually a professional, world renowned violinist, playing a million dollar instrument in the middle of rush hour.
