Rockclimbing 5/26/07
Saturday morning, I met up with Megan at Jen’s place in San Mateo to drive up to Indian Rock along Skyline Blvd to go outdoor rockclimbing. I was already sore from Thursday’s climb at the gym and was/am fully aware that I’m severely out of shape but I really couldn’t turn that down. It was pretty overcast when we left at 8am but when we reached the Skyline, it was warm and sunny and would be the rest of the day… freakin’ gorgeous. The rest of the Bay must have been pretty gloomy from the look of it.
With the help of Jeremy, we had a top rope set up and were climbing 5.8s and 5.9s pretty quickly at Summit Rock. It’s been years and years since the last time I’ve been rockclimbing outdoors and a really fun change from the gym setting. My hands are pretty scratched up from some crack climbing and I’m sore all over but I really can’t wait to go and do it again. I’ll be sure to bring the first aid kit next time since Megan is apparently scratch prone.
