Uncorked: Ghirardelli Wine Festival
Last Saturday was the Uncorked Wine Festival in Ghirardelli Square which was just one of the many festivals in San Francisco that weekend. I think my second choice would have been the Beer and Oyster Festival at Fort Mason. Mmmmm… I guess that’ll have to wait till next year. There were a lot of different wines to try down on the Aquatic Park side of Ghirardelli Sqaure and the little grassy area was a great place to sit. I’m not a big wine person, unlike my roommate Alex, who decided to buy himself two cases on his last trip to Napa, but it was fun and I think I’m starting to get into Cabernet Savignon. =) I still need to watch Sideways, which will hopefully help with my abysmal ability to describe wines. Mike: “This wine tastes like… dirt.” Christina’s translation: “Yeah, it’s a little earthy.” =)
